(Easton, MD) August 23, 2016 - The North Dakota Department of Human Services has selected Delmarva Foundation to continue to provide External Quality Review (EQR) of the state’s Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). The new contract began July 1, 2016 and is a one year contract with three optional extension periods. Delmarva Foundation has been providing this service since 2011 when North Dakota initiated the first independent EQR for the managed care CHIP program.
As part of this contract, Delmarva Foundation will evaluate the quality, accessibility, and timeliness of health care services provided to CHIP enrollees. This comprehensive evaluation assesses the CHIP Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) through:
- Performance Improvement Project Validation
- Performance Measure Validation
- Compliance Review
- Encounter Data Validation
- Access and Availability Assessment
- Consumer survey validation
“We are excited to continue this work with North Dakota,” said Roxanne Rodgers, Senior Vice President for Delmarva Foundation. “The renewal is validation of the hard work and dedication our staff has put forth in this program to date.”
“We have developed and maintain a collaborative relationship with North Dakota’s Department of Human Services.” said Jody Jobeck, Senior EQR Project Director. “Our desire to provide exceptional customer service to the State and the MCOs has been measured by our outstanding customer satisfaction results and improvement in MCO performance measure outcomes. We look forward to growing this relationship.”
